Membership Information
The growth and success of Friends of Film, Video, & Arts is determined each year by the time, energy and resources efforts of her members. Friends of Film is run entirely by members volunteering to be part of our Producers Circle, our fun and effective spin on having a "Bored" of Directors. We are a creative and cooperative bunch, so each year we focus on what is relevant for us that year, and go after it with professionalism and fun. What a combination! There are many ways you can participate in "Friends of Film" and New Mexico's growing arts industries.

It takes many kinds of talent in many areas to make indie filmmaking and an organization supporting them to be successful. FoFVA members is made up of emerging and professional filmmakers. Each member has a level of experience and professionalism in the field, yet also seeks an experience, credit or opportunity he/she can achieve in a skilled and cooperative setting. Members support telling good story through drama or documentary filmmaking. Members' expertise runs the gamut from scriptwriting, animation production to online and festival distribution and everything in-between.
Since our first meeting in December 2005, our members have collaborated with one another to complete over 50 productions. Attending or facilitating monthly programs provides great opportunities to learn, mentor, view member's screenings, and get to know what others offer or need in a production.
